Detection and Ejection
Pecans, etc. flow off the end of the vibrator pan through a backlit imaging area. A high speed, digital camera images the flowing stream of pecans, sticks and sticktights. I.M.’s proprietary image analysis software differentiates good pecans from sticks and sticktights. Computer controlled air valves eject the sticks and sticktights.
